It is 2019, which means we are no longer in the 2018th century! Thank you Nelson, for that amazingly quotable line, that I used far too often.
2018 had some really high points, like going to Whistler, making new friends, growing closer with my current friends. I got valuable job experience, left retail (thank god) and played a lot of good video games. Spent far too many soccer games and days at the beach, but I loved it.
I really asked myself what I wanted from life, and what I want to be. This inspired the blog, as I love writing, reading and marketing. I wanted an outlet to combine all these things. My own creative control. I designed my blog myself and wanted to meet more bookish people, and Instagram is helping me with that. Writing reviews and lists is allowing me to look more critically at a novel, which I've always done but now I'm doing it more. I still know I want to do blogging, but I want to travel and want a marketing job. I tried Accounting (too boring) and tried Operations (too overworked) and learned that this is what I want. Designing the website was so much fun. I also finally learned to accept myself and realize that I'm weird, quirky and funny. Embrace it and don't dull my personality. I have things I want to improve with myself, and will continue to work on it.
Resolutions:
1.) Get fit again. Work out more, eat better and see results. I've started this back in October and will continue this.
2.) Figure out what I want out of life and what I want to do. Get a job that I love and am happy to go to work.
3.) Travel more.
4.) Call my grandparents more. I am awful for this, but they are only getting older.
5.) Read the Malazaan book of The Fallen
6.) Grow this blog more. If anyone has any suggests of posts or anything let me know :)
7.) Watch more movies. Ever since I took a film English class at 19, I lost the appeal of movies. I only watch Teen and horror films, unless I'm watching it with other people or in theatres. I never thing, wow I should just watch this film as I browse Netflix. I only watch TV shows.
What are your resolutions?
Cheers,
Jen!
