I think that this book was an interesting concept with the way it was written. It's written as a series of interviews that lends itself well to a documentary (think Fyrefest style). This doesn't allow for one to get attached to the characters unfortunately. The plot itself is interesting, its hard to go wrong with sex, drugs and rock and roll though. Reid still knows how to write a good page turner and is a very talented writer.

Daisy is interesting, but I wish we could've got deeper with her psyche. We all knew she was pretty and everyone was intrigued by her, but she had a lot of deep-seated issues. I wish that those had been explored.

The ending is also completely lack lustre, I was into the book until the last 30 pages. Than it just ends... In the most anti climactic way imaginable.

4/5

I'd recommend this to anyone who's into rock music and the scene associated with that. Or if you are just looking for a good fiction novel.

Cheers,

Jen
