I'm so excited to announce that I'll be doing my first readathon! I'm joining the Fantasyathon, which runs from April 5th-15th.
Read a Diverse Fantasy: A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi. It's the sequel to The Star-Crossed Queen, which is inspired by Indian mythology.
Read a Debut OR a Backlist Title: "The Near Witch" V.E. Schwab. Both a backlist (as it's republished) and her debut! I'm still hoping to somehow get Labyrinth by Catherynne M Valente, but that hope is getting smaller and smaller.
Start a new series OR read on in a series: I am going to read "The Wicked King" by Holly Black. I read Cruel Prince back in February and I'm excited to read on with it.
Read a hype train fantasy: I'm counting The Wicked King for this again!
Finish a fantasy you started but didn’t finish (not because you hard DNF’d but because you weren’t in the mood)
Read a fantasy in a genre/format you don’t normally read (middle grade, adult, ya, graphic novel, manga): Middle grade for this one. The Girl who Fell Beneath Fairyland and Led the Revels There by Catherynne M Valente. This could also could as reading on in a series, since it's the 2nd.
Immerse yourself in the story - pamper yourself but make it book themed! (cook a meal from a book, take a book-themed bath, watch a book to movie adaptation, anything goes!): I'm going to watch Stardust, which is a really good movie. I read the book a year ago, and haven't seen the movie in like 10 years! I'm excited for it! I'll also probably rewatch The Princess Bride, which is just an all around amazing movie!
