Genre: Contemporary Romance

This is a contemporary office romance with Josh and Lucy who work in the same office. They are both executive assistants to the CEO and hate each other. The days are spent engaging in stupid little power games and squabbles constantly. It's a hate-to-love trope romance.

I will be the first to say, I don't like contemporaries much and I reallydon't like romances. But I wanted something to break up the fantasy I was reading. It was okay, but I found the characters frustrating and the games ridiculous. The whole thing felt very immature to me.

2/5

I can see why people would like it, and I may enjoy it as a movie more. This book just wasn't for me though. If you like romances and the hate-to-love trope though, you should give this a try.

Cheers,

Jen
